CRC Prey Veng Provincial Branch Disseminates Road Safety in Svay Antor District
On April 12, 2022, CRC Prey Veng Provincial Branch Director, Ms. Ouk Meas Solina in collaboration with Ms. Chan Sophea, Deputy Director of the Prey Veng provincial Department of Public Works and Transport together with the sub-branch of Svay Antor District, Inspectors, Traffic Police, Volunteers, Youth Advisers and CRC Youth conducted outreach on Road Safety to contribute to the educational integration on road traffic law prior to the Khmer New Year. the dissemination was taking place at the National Road 8, Svay Antor roundabout, Svay Antor district, Prey Veng province.
The main purpose of the outreach which was to remind as well as to educate the people to understand more clearly about road accidents and non-behavior leading to accidents while traveling, including driving under the influence of alcohol which is a major cause of vehicle traffic fatalities and so on. In general, accidents caused by driving under the influence of alcohol are more serious than non-alcohol-related traffic crashes because when the drivers are in a state of intoxication, they may be speedy up, overtaking, reckless driving, not wearing seat belts or helmets, and not obey the traffic signs; therefore, if
