Cambodian Red Cross Presents a Royal Medal to Mrs. Anne Elisabeth LECLERC

H.E  Khoun Sudary, Vice President of the Cambodian Red Cross , on behalf of Samdech Kittipritthbindit Bun Rany HUNSEN, President of the Cambodian Red Cross,  presented a royal  medal to Mrs. Anne Elisabeth LECLERC, country cluster support team  of IFRC, Bangkok office , on 15 February 2016 at Cambodian Red Cross National Headquarters.

H.E Vice President  stated that Mrs. LECLERC, was awarded the Royal Order of Sahametrei, class Mohasena (Grand Officer), granted by His Majesty Samdech Preah Bat Preah Boromneath  NORODOM SIHAMONI, King of the Kingdom of Cambodia, in recognition for her vigorous and exerted efforts and numerous achievements as Head of the Regional Office for South East Asia of the IFRC.

The Cartier Charitable Foundation Delegation ’s visit to the Cambodian Red Cross

Madam Pum Chantinie , Secretary General of the Cambodian Red Cross had an audience,  on 12 February 2016 at Cambodian Red Cross national Headquarters, with Cartier ​Charitable Foundation  delegation led by Ms Olaug Bergseth, Strategic Partnerships and International Relations, Geneva.

The purpose was to build up partnership and relationship among Cartier Charitable Foundation, International Federation and the Cambodian Red Cross and also to learn the progress of Watsan, a three year (2015-2017) community based project  implemented at targeted branches of Svay Rieng, Kratie, and Banteay Meanchey provinces.


Preparation meeting for 8 May Day 2016

In the afternoon, 27th January 2016, there was a meeting to prepare for the 8 May 2016 and the Birthday of Her Majesty the Queen Mother of the Khmer Nation which presided over by Samdech Chaufea Veang Kong Som Ol, Standby Vice-President of the Cambodian Red Cross.

During the meeting, all members discussed the following agendas such as:

-Approval for establishment of the Commission for organizing the 153th Anniversary of the World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day, 8 May 2016

-Roles, responsibilities and duties of the Commission and Sub-Commission

-Comments from all members and

-Other issues.

All members of the meeting agreed to the above appointments and delegations through active discussion and comments. The meeting was adjourned at 5 pm which received fruitful result and strong commitment to achieving the above topics according to expectation.

In​ ​the​ ​afternoon​, 16th June​ ​2015 at​ ​17:00 hours​, Samdech​ ​Kittibritthbindit​ ​Bun​ ​Rany​ ​HUNSEN​, President​ ​of​ ​the​ ​Cambodian​ ​Red​ ​Cross​ ​led​ ​delegation​ ​who​ ​were​ ​the​ ​members​ ​of​ ​the​ ​Central​ ​Committee​ ​and​ ​Directors​ ​of​ ​all​ ​departments​ ​for​ ​an​ ​audience​ ​to​ ​report​ ​and​ ​wish​ ​their​ ​best​ ​to​ ​Her​ ​Majesty​ ​the​ ​Queen​ ​of​ ​the​ ​Khmer​ ​Nation​ ​and​ ​the​ ​Honorary​ ​of​ ​the​ ​Cambodian​ ​Red​ ​Cross​ ​in​ ​occasion​ ​of​ ​Her​ ​Highness​ ​Royal​ ​Birthday​, at​ ​the​ ​Royal​ ​Palace​ ​of​ ​the​ ​Kingdom​ ​of​ ​Cambodia​.

Samdech​ ​Kittipritthbindit​ ​began ​ ​her​ ​report​ ​on​ ​achievements​ ​which​ ​the​ ​Cambodian​ ​Red​ ​Cross​ ​had​ ​achieved​ ​in​ ​the​ ​previous​ ​implementation​ ​especially​ its successful preparation of the anniversary of the world Red Cross Red Crescent Day ​in May 2015  throughout the country  and its​ ​response​ ​and​ ​distribution​ ​emergency​ ​relief​ ​to​ ​victims​ ​and​ ​the​ ​most​ ​vulnerable​ ​people​ ​throughout​ ​the​ ​country​. In​ ​addition​, Samdech​ ​Kittipritthbindit​ ​also​ ​highlighted​ ​on​ ​Cambodian Red Cross has been focusing the  following implementation of 4 core areas stipulated in CRC strategy 2011-2020.  Samdech​ ​Kittipritthbindit​ ​and​ ​all​ ​delegates​ ​wished​ ​all​ ​the​ ​very​ ​best​ ​to​ ​Her​ ​Majesty​ ​the​ ​Queen​ ​of​ ​the​ ​Khmer​ ​Nation​ ​for​ ​the​ ​upcoming​ ​of​ ​Her​ ​Highness​ ​Royal​ ​Birthday.

In​ ​response​, Her​ ​Majesty​ ​the​ ​Queen​ ​of​ ​the​ ​Khmer​ ​Nation​ ​expressed ​ ​her​ ​appreciation​ ​and​ ​admiration​ ​for​ ​all​ ​efforts​ ​physically​ ​and​ ​mentally​ ​in​ ​engaging​ ​in​ ​humanitarian​ ​sector​ ​and​ ​had​ ​helped​ ​thousands​ ​of​ ​victims​ ​and​ ​the​ ​most​ ​vulnerable​ ​in​ ​the​ ​whole​ ​country​. Her​ ​Majesty​ ​the​ ​Queen​ ​of​ ​the​ ​Khmer​ ​Nation​ ​also​ ​encouraged​ ​Samdech​ ​Kattipritthbindit​ ​to​ ​continue​ ​to​ ​help​ ​all​ ​victims​ ​and​ ​more​ ​effectiveness​.

Finally​, Her​ ​Majesty​ ​the​ ​Queen​ ​of​ ​the​ ​Khmer​ ​Nation​ ​and​ ​the​ ​Honorary​ ​of​ ​the​ ​Cambodian​ ​Red​ ​Cross​ ​thanked​ ​and​ ​wished​ ​all​ ​delegates​ ​and​ ​particularly​ ​Samdech​ ​Kittipritthbindit​ ​good ​ ​health​ ​and​ ​happiness​ ​in​ ​family​ ​to​ ​continue​ ​leading​ ​the​ ​Cambodian​ ​Red​ ​Cross​ ​for​ ​further​ ​success​.


Cambodian Red Cross Receives humanitarian Donation from Donor

In the morning, 19th May 2015, at the CRC’s National Headquarters, Samdech Kittipritthbindit Bun Rany HUNSEN, President, received a courtesy meeting and accepted humanitarian donation of 10,000 USD from Lok Khna Mrs. Ngok Bun Tha.


Samdech Kattipritthbindit first welcomed the delegation once again and expressed her appreciation to Mrs. Ngok Bun Tha for her constant supports and contribution to the activities of the CRC in the past. She informed that this donation would be used by the CRC to distribute to help all kinds of vulnerable victims nationwide especially who affected by disasters.


In response, Mrs. Ngok Bun Tha thanked Samdech Kittipritthbindit for allowing the delegation for this meeting and promised to continue supporting to the CRC’s activities in the future.


Finally, Samdech Kittipritthbindit wished the delegation as well as Mrs. Ngok Bun Tha good health and success in life.

CRC Prey Veng Branch: On the morning of February 06, 2017, H.E Sok Pheng, Permanent Vice President of the Branch Committee Chaired  the Training of trainers  course on Emergency water , sanitation and Hygiene for 3 days starting from 06 to 08 February 2017 under the auspices technical assistance from the headquarters of the Red Cross and the International Federation.


28 Participants attended came from the National Headquarters ,  Swiss Red Cross,  Cambodian Red Cross branch of Prey Veng and Svay Rieng  and Sub branches of  d Sithor, Por Rieng district.


The purpose of the course will contributed to improve the people health in the community through strengthening staff and volunteers capacity in order to timely respond in the time of disasters and prepare to provide clean water, sanitation services in emergency.

Cambodian Red Cross Phnom Penh Branch: On the morning of Saturday, February 4th , 2017, as well as every previous Saturday morning, 320 Red Cross youth of Phnom Penh branch including advisers delegated by executive branch disseminated Safety of Traffic at 20 targeting spots in Phnom Penh.


The purpose of this dissemination is aimed at exhorting the drivers to obey the traffic law, traffic lights, badges, marks and driving with good manners, morality, and mutual understanding in order to avoid eventual accidents; especially to contribute in making the traffic in Phnom Penh as well as in the whole country become safe.

Cambodian Red Cross Siem Reap Branch: On the morning of January 31, 2017, Mr.Sum Sam On, branch director, attended dissemination on International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and parts of International Humanitarian Law (IHL) course which taken place at the Provincial Teacher Training College with a total of 214 sophomores of 34th Batch participated.


Speaking at the event, Mr. Sum Sam On expressed that the dissemination is aimed at providing further understandings about the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and part of IHL to the students who will become teachers and fulfill their duties in the community. Also, he requested the participating students to continuously promote what they have gained from the course to their community.

In the afternoon of September,07,2016 Mr. Mom Phireak, Safer Rural Community Program Coordinator, together with Oddormeanchey branch and Anlong Veng sub-branch conducted a dissemination session on Restoring Family Links , Non- interest Micro Financed Loan and Mine awareness and victim assistance program to 20 Red Cross Volunteers from Trapeang Prey commune , Oddor meanchey province.


The purpose of dissemination was to improve Red Cross Volunteer knowledge in order to better implementing their activities in communities.
