13 vulnerable people receive micro-loan from Cambodian Red Cross Loeuk Dek sub-branch
Cambodian Red Cross Loeuk Dek sub-branch, on 26 January 2016, provide micro loan of World Mate Project through Cambodian Red Cross to 13 vulnerable people from Prek Toch and Prek Dach villages, Prek Dach commune in Loeuk Dek district, Kandal Province aimed at increasing their better living standard. It is worth recalling that Cambodian Red Cross has so far provided micro-loan to the 555 vulnerable people for Prek Dach commune only. The project started since 2012 implemented 2 communes including Prek Dach and Kampong Phnom to improve the living standards of the vulnerable. Each receives free interest loan of 1,000,000 Riels (USD 250.00) respectively for a year.
Cambodian Red Cross Kampot Branch chlorinate 38 wells in 3 districts
From 19-21 January 2016, 38 wells supported by Danish Red Cross provided to the people who live in Damnak Sokrom commune, Dang Tong district, Dan Kom commune, Angkor Chey district and Prey Thnong commune, Tek Chou district . In other to have safe water for the people using. The team of Community based health development project of Cambodian Red Cross Kampot Branch took water for quality testing at Phnom Penh center. After that those wells water founded high level of cali-form. The campaign chlorinated of cali-form started from now on . At the same time, the team identified 3 locations to construct hand washing place for 3 primary schools.
Cambodian Red Cross Preah Vihear branch Control water quality
On 13 January 2016,Cambodian Red Cross Preah Vihear branch, in collaboration with the Community Based Health Development program, collected 21 water samples from the wells in Rovieng district and 15 from Kulen district, totaling of 36,supported by Danish Red Cross, for water quality control in Phnom Penh to ensure water safety for the local people daily use.
Cambodian Red Cross Takeo branch put on Red Cross Youth Uniform at Regional Poly-technical institute Techo Sen
100 Cambodian Red Cross Youth were put on uniform by H.E Ms. Nou Sovanny, President of the Cambodian Red Cross Takeo branch at Regional Poly-technical institute Techo Sen on 12th Jan 2016.
Taking this occasion, she is very proud to see them to be a Red Cross Youth for helping vulnerable people, and disaster victims such as flood, drought, gale wind or fire house etc.
She said that Red Cross youth should be a good simple in humanitarian activities and social interest especially those humanitarian activities are very important for them.
President of the Cambodian Red Cross provides 10 water pumps to vulnerable people in Kbal Damrey and Vaddanak commune, Sambo district of Kratie province
On December 30, 2015 H.E Dr. Uy Sam Ath, Director of Disaster Management Department of the Cambodian Red Cross handed over 10 water pumps which is a gift of Samdach Kittiprittbandit Bun Rany Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian Red Cross. 5 water pumps were provided to Kbal Damrey commune and other 5 to Sambo district.
On that occasion, H.E Dr. Uy Sam Ath distributed the donation from Red Cross branch to 15 poor families, with each family get 30kg of rice 1 box of noodle, 10 fish cans, 1 sharong, 1 blanket, 1 scarf, 1 blanket, and as well as 60 elderlies and 20 schoolchildren received some funding with 1 scarf.
H.E added that Samdach Kittiprittbandit Bun Rany Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian Red Cross always pay attention to all vulnerable people and especially the elderly without any support, orphans, widowed, HIV/ AIDS without racist, color or political trend.
H.E suggested all people to push the children go to school, and they must be able to take care of health, sanitation and good environment and also away from drugs, AIDS in particular must respected traffic laws, how to be careful on fire and especially concerning on the issue of disasters, heavy rain with gale wind then to find the safe place.
Cambodian Red Cross Prey Veng Branch organized the International Day of volunteers
On 7 December 2015, the Cambodian Red Cross Prey Veng Branch organized the International Day of volunteers under the global theme “Volunteer Out Loud” which was attended by a total of 350 participants including Branch Committee members, Sub-branches executive officers, Cambodian Red Cross Youth, Volunteers and relevant departments throughout the province. The ceremony was presided over by H.E. Has Sareth Branch Committee President, H.E. You Lana, CRC Second Deputy Secretary General. Ms. Lak Monyraskmey, IFRC representative to Cambodia, H.E two Vice Presidents of Branch Committee, Okha Sok Peng and Mr. Him Sophal.
The Ceremony was organized to express gratitude to all volunteers for their efforts in spending their physical, spiritual, financial resource and time for humanitarian activities partly to relief sufferings and poverty alleviation.
Moreover, it was celebrated to encourage and promote active participation in volunteering work to meet the needs of the community and society as a whole. At the opening of the ceremony, Mr. Him Sophal, Vice president of the Branch committee, made a welcome remark and presented a report on key activities of the volunteers in 2015and directions to be implemented in 2016.
On that occasion, H.E. You Lana CRC Second Deputy Secretary General also conveyed greetings and regards from Samdach Kittiprittbandit Bun Rany HunSen, President of the Cambodian Red Cross to all attendants and additionally recalled the history of the birth of global volunteering work, particularly highlighted the contribution of the Cambodian Red Cross for the establishment a volunteer network which has expanded from year to year. He also underlined the priceless humanitarian action under the wise leadership of Samdach Kittiprittbandit.
Meanwhile, H.E. Hash Sareth President of Branch Committee also expressed his pleasure that the Branch was honored to cooperate with the national headquarters in organizing such an important International Day of volunteers. Moreover, on behalf of branch leadership, he vowed to promote and encourage local youth and volunteers in all 13 districts to carry out humanitarian activities under the wise leadership of Humanitarian Mother.
Afterward, a representative of volunteers described volunteering activities which have been carried out by volunteers up to date, by underlining their roles and responsibilities. He also reflected his willingness to inspire and courage volunteers as well as Youth in answering questions for a prize.
In such a nice atmosphere, to reflect the encouragement and high attention of Samdach Kittiprittbandit Bun Rany HunSen, President of the Cambodian Red Cross, the event’s presidencies presented an Appreciation Letter autographed by Samdach Kittiprittbandit Bun Rany HunSen to the individual of 135 volunteers who have provided their humanitarian service since 1999. Besides, the CRC teamwork from CRC national headquarters presented a gift of 50,000 Riels and one Kit (including one mosquito net, one blanket, one sarong, and one towel) to the individual of 301 youth and volunteers.

Samdech Kittipritthbindit Bun Rany HUNSEN, President of the Cambodian Red Cross led delegation of the CRC to the Royal Palace
In the afternoon, 16th June 2015 at 17:00 hours, Samdech Kittibritthbindit Bun Rany HUNSEN, President of the Cambodian Red Cross led delegation who were the members of the Central Committee and Directors of all departments for an audience to report and wish their best to Her Majesty the Queen of the Khmer Nation and the Honorary of the Cambodian Red Cross in occasion of Her Highness Royal Birthday, at the Royal Palace of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
Samdech Kittipritthbindit began her report on achievements which the Cambodian Red Cross had achieved in the previous implementation especially its successful preparation of the anniversary of the world Red Cross Red Crescent Day in May 2015 throughout the country and its response and distribution emergency relief to victims and the most vulnerable people throughout the country. In addition, Samdech Kittipritthbindit also highlighted on Cambodian Red Cross has been focusing the following implementation of 4 core areas stipulated in CRC strategy 2011-2020. Samdech Kittipritthbindit and all delegates wished all the very best to Her Majesty the Queen of the Khmer Nation for the upcoming of Her Highness Royal Birthday.
In response, Her Majesty the Queen of the Khmer Nation expressed her appreciation and admiration for all efforts physically and mentally in engaging in humanitarian sector and had helped thousands of victims and the most vulnerable in the whole country. Her Majesty the Queen of the Khmer Nation also encouraged Samdech Kattipritthbindit to continue to help all victims and more effectiveness.

Cambodian Red Cross donates humanitarian charity 1 Million US Dollars to Kuntha Bopha Hospital
In the morning, 19th May 2015, at the CRC’s National Headquarters, Samdech Kittipritthbindit Bun Rany HUNSEN, President of the CRC invited for a curtsey call and donated humanitarian fund of 1 Million US Dollars to the Kuntha Bopha Hospital.
First, Samdech Kittipritthbindit the President extended her welcome and admiration to the delegates for their efforts in term of providing public service especially to promote the health for maternal, baby and child in the Kingdom of Cambodia. She also highlighted that all staff and doctors at Kuntha Bopha Hospital at all Branches have been fulfilling their duties effectively everyday and with high responsibility. Moreover, the Hospital has gained recognition and reputation from the public as the most professional hospital and received confidence from all walks of life.
In response, H.E. Borm Bun Heng, Ministry of Health, expressed his gratitude for the generosity in contributing to help saving thousands of life of children throughout the nation. He also appreciated the Royal Government for it constant support in the health sector, which contributed to achieving the Development Millennium Goals of the United Nations.
Then Mr. Beat Richnner informed his appreciation for the generosity of the CRC for always considering the concern of maternal and child’s health as their main priority. He also presented the current situation of the hospital which they had been implemented their work and requested Samdech Kittipritthbindit to appeal to all private clinics to consider mainly on the health of mother and child.
Samdech Kittipritthbindit the President kindly informed the delegates that The CRC regularly visits to community and organized humanitarian relief distributions as well as disseminated the advocacy in promoting mother and child’s health so the people could have better understanding. Particularly, for pregnant women and women whose were the mothers to follow regularly go for health check-up according to doctor. Samdech Kittipritthbindit stressed that based on the efforts from the Ministry of Health and Kuntha Bopha Hospital, these had helped eased burdens of the Royal Government of Cambodia.
Finally, Samdech Kittipritthbindit the President also highlighted that this donation came from the contribution of National-International Donors of their continuous support the humanitarian activities of the CRC. Samdech Kittipritthbindit wished the delegates good health and further success in the future.
